Why are we doing this again?!?

We celebrate our 33rd year of wedded bless this May and what better way to mark this momentous occasion than with another Around-the-World adventure. Our last trip in 2022 came with many complications due to the pandemic but it also came with very cheap prices since the world was still weary of travel. This trip has been in the works for two years and has had its fair share of challenges but we are all ready to go except for Andrea deciding how to reduce eighty pounds of stuff to fifty pounds of stuff to meet all our weight allowances.

How did we decide where to go? We sat down with a map and pointed to places that we had never visited but was on our individual bucket lists. We also decided on places that wouldn't be easy to visit on a one or two-week vacation and including them in this trip since that would probably be the only way we would probably ever get to visit there. We both agreed on Iceland and the trip grew legs from there. Next stop will be the Balkans (Slovenia, Hungary and Romania) via Switzerland and then on to Dubai, U.A.E where Andrea plans to zip line on the world's longest urban zip line. From Dubai, we will head on to South Africa and the countries of Zimbabwe to see the world famous Victoria Falls and then to neighboring Botswana for safari delta\swamp style. After we leave the African bush we will turn back north to Doha, Qatar for a quick stopover before visiting the wonders of Indonesia via Bali. Sound tiring? We aren't done yet! From Indonesia we will continue east to the South Pacific nation of The Fiji Islands for R&R and world-class diving. Our plane ride home takes us through Hawaii. We have always wanted to see Pearl Harbor so we will spend a few days in Waikiki to see this historical site. Last stop: HOME!
